Breakfast of Champions

I had a delicious "biscuit" with my coffee this morning. If you bite a corner off the top and bottom it becomes a delicious dark chocolate straw...YUM!!!!!!!!!!!
I ate vegemite, or as I like to call it, spreadable beer...NASTY!
Who would look in this jar and think, yum, I think I'll make a vegemite sandwich????
Bravely spreading the beer on my bread...
Then eating the goop...

One bite was enough for me.

Greetings from Australia

If my flight wasn't delayed at LAX, I wouldn't have been able to see the pink cotton candy clouds at daybreak.
My sunrise in Sydney this morning!
Becky driving on the wrong side of the road...
If you've watched Ghost Rider, this is the bridge he drives on...
Downtown Melbourne by the Yarra River.

After 27 hours, I am here safe and sound. [

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

...so kiss me and smile for me, tell me that you'll wait for me, hold me like you'll never let me go! (when I get back, he'll be there waiting for me...lucky me!)

I can't wait to start this new adventure. I would have never thought I'd be going to Australia unemployed and on a budget...funny how things work out. This is such an amazing opportunity. My life has been full of them and when I stop to think of them, I am so grateful. I am learning to just let things happen, good and bad. In the end it all works out.

My life is truly an adventure!

Edge of the world

In 28 days I will cross this ocean to explore a part of the world I have never seen before. I am very excited and scared at the same time. Although this trip allows me to have an adventure and see Becky, I am scared to think about my job situation upon return. I know better than to let this worry me. I have no control, what will be will be...I just wish the answer/direction was more clear.

Silverado Trail Scenes

One of my favorite drives in Northern California is through the Napa Valley. Silverado Trail is absolutely beautiful any time of year. This past weekend I drove through and it looks like Spring came early. The valley was bursting with yellow and green...
This is exciting to me. It makes me wonder what the wine will be like for this year. Again, little rain and warmer temperatures may result in an interesting vintage. I can't wait to taste it in a couple years!
This is a late summer picture. The vines are full of fruit ripening in the sun. This picture was taken in 2007, so we may have tasted some already!

I am so fortunate to live so close to this beautiful road!
